Receipts/Acknowledgment Letters
​For donation payments made online, a receipt is automatically emailed to you. For donation payments made by check, a donation acknowledgement letter will be mailed to you.

Avoid Processing Fees
To avoid processing fees, please donate by check. Make checks payable to “East Oakland Collective." Mail to The East Oakland Collective at P.O. Box 5382, Oakland, CA 94605.

In-Kind Donation Guidelines

1. Donations and other forms of support will generally be reviewed from individuals, partnerships, corporations, foundations, government agencies, or other entities, subject to limitations.
2. Items must be in excellent condition, CLEAN and dry (not wet or damp).
3. Donated items must be approved and delivery scheduled in advanced. Please email [email protected] or call us at 510-990-0775. 
4. We cannot accept "drop and go" donations, so please allow for the time staff will need to examine your items. 
5. Items must be delivered to organization during normal business items. Exceptions of pick up or delivery outside of normal business items may be considered on a case-by-case basis; must be coordinated and approved in advance. Please email [email protected] or call us at 510-990-0775.   
6. Certain types of gifts must be reviewed prior to acceptance due to the special liabilities they may pose for The East Oakland Collective. Examples of gifts which will be subject to review include gifts of real property, gifts of personal property, and gifts of securities.
7. The organization reserves the right to decline donations at times due to quality, donation type, item condition, amount, and space or staffing limitations.​

Acceptance List

PLEASE NOTE: Our acceptance list is current but NOT up-to-the-minute. Our staff may have to decline items which the list says we accept. These decisions take into consideration very recent items donated, our physical space, and amount of staff to sort and process donations.
